Effective, Fun, Force-Free Training
Lead Trainer: Lisa Sandberg, CTC, CPDT-KA is committed to training and behavior methods that are effective, fast and fun, and grounded in modern behavioral science. Moreover, her techniques are gentle, rewards-based and force-free.
Lisa is a graduate of Jean Donaldson’s Academy for Dog Trainers, the “Harvard” of professional training. She is certified by the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers and has special certification in Fear Free techniques from the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). She is also a member of The Pet Professional Guild and regularly attends seminars and conferences with many of the world’s leading behavior experts.
Lisa developed a passion for training when she signed up to walk dogs at the Austin Animal Center, and encountered excellent dogs who’d been surrendered for very correctable behavior issues. She worked under two local trainers before setting her sights on a national training program.
Lisa holds a Master’s in Journalism from New York University. She covered crime for big-city newspapers, but discovered that when it came to juvenile delinquents, she was partial to the four-legged variety.
How We’re Different:
- We train where your dog has to behave — your home.
- Recognizing that every household has its own routine and dynamics, we strive to give families a flexible training model that’ll suit them to a T.
Choose One of Two Options:
We train your puppy or dog together.
We do the bulk of the training for you, while setting aside a session each week to show you how to manage and reward so there’s no backsliding during or after training.
If you’re unsure which option might work best around your schedule, talk to us. We’re pretty nice. We love working with people as much as we love working with dogs.
